Exploded View
Performace and Multi Media Exhibitions:
Exploded View is a multidisciplinary arts collective working together since 2016. We create site-specific installations that are timely, culturally and politically relevant, acknowledging the intersection of material and social history of the places where we work. We are Trish Crapo of Leyden, Edite Cunhã and Nina Rossi of Turners Falls, and Samantha Wood of Greenfield.
Our work has addressed social injustice, climate change, domestic violence, migration, paper, the afterlife, rivers, bees, and play. We’ve used elements of theater, poetry, history, visual arts, performance art, and audio and video installation to create unique experiences for our audiences. Our work is often site-specific, inspired by the particularity of place, and includes invitations for viewer input and participation. We’ve mounted juried art exhibits to accompany many of our performances, helping to bring visibility to and build community between area artists. We like to explore difficult topics with open hearts.
We love what we do
